A Meeting with MUDL About Non–Tax Revenue

20 June, 2019 – A meeting about the implementation of 4th, 5th, 6th, 16th, & 17th directives of the cabinet and 22nd of high economic council of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan about increasing non-tax revenue, finding new revenue sources, and preventing revenue leakages was being conducted between Mr. Abdullah Raqeebi deputy minister for customs & revenue of MoF, and Mr. Ahmad Jawad Paikar minister for Urban Development & Land (MUDL) and deputy minister of financial & administrative affairs of MUDL.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Raqeebi talked about the issues in details. Afterwards Mr. Paikar provided information about their plans for increasing revenue and ensured that they will extend their efforts in increasing revenue, finding new revenue sources and preventing revenue leakages.
Different issues concerning the increase of non-tax revenue were discussed, and both sides agreed on creation of a joint team to follow meeting’s decisions and prepare a concept note.
It is worth mentioning that Mr. Khaliqullah director of non-tax revenue of MoF and Mr. Muafaq Royesh revenue director of MUDL were also present in the meeting.
