Initial Tax Clearance in Tax Administrations:
In series of ARD reforms and streamlining the procedures of tax clearance for providing timely and better services, the initial tax clearance process has been simplified in two items.
A: Previously, 13 supporting documents were required for tax clarification and processing. Currently, taxpayer is required to provide 5 supporting documents as following:
1. Tax return and balance sheet;
2. License copy;
3. M-16 forms;
4. BRT Quarterly forms, and
5. Withholding tax forms.
B: Previously initial tax clearance process in tax administrations was time-consuming, now based on Article 59 of Tax Administration Law (ITL), the initial tax clearance process will take place in 21 days.
Therefore, all taxpayers are requested to comply with the requirements of the tax administration within 21 days. Otherwise, the taxpayer’s user in tax system will be blocked.
ARD is committed to provide facilities and support to private sector and is always striving to provide swift and timely services to taxpayers.
It is worth mentioning that ARD has also launched its online services by introducing the e-filing system. It encourages the taxpayer to take advantage of this system and avoid any inconvenience in submitting documents and administrative bureaucracy. They can start and complete their initial tax clearance process without submitting any physical tax documents.
